After ringing round some breeders we finally found one last boy left down in Cambridge so off Mum & I went for the two hour something drive, spent ten minutes ooohing & aahing over the little puppies & decided we would have the one that was available. I had decided to call him Casper so the breeder started to use that name until we could bring him home as he was only eight weeks old.
Mum had a white powder scare at work a fortnight later so took the opportunity of having the day off & went down to pick the little boy up.
SO CUTE!!! He was housetrained so that was a blessing...he stayed in the kitchen for a few weeks at night just until he got used to being round us etc. He was going to be an outside dog so we bought the kennel and all the crap that goes with it and got the back deck covered so he would be nice & dry under there...well that lasted five seconds and he was an inside dog!!! How could you put that face outside!!!
He has been the most wonderful first dog for me. He had been quite sick & the vets thought he had cancer but he seems to be doing okay. Just has down days in summer when its too hot for him so he gets an immune booster which appears to be helping him out fine.
